Zwischenraum, ("in-between space" or ''interspace"), is a piece for string octet. The work seeks to explore the sonorous space created by dividing the octet into two identical quartets positioned facing each other. Additionally, the piece features a theatrical element arising from the fact that the two quartets are identical to one another and placed directly opposite each other. This theatrical component plays a central role in shaping the sound within the space and in creating the empty space between the two quartets.
